Spann, PhD
is the 2nd child and 3rd
generation “David”
born to
Pastor David W. Spann,
Jr. (The Mercy Seat C.O.G.I.C.[Co-Pastor/Co-Founder
Dr. Billie Roberts-Spann]) and
Apostle/Bishop Brenda L. Waters - Spann,
Ph.D. (Pastor - True Faith Deliverance
Ministries), He, along with his sister
(Evangelist Davonne German), brother (Pastor
Randy Spann) of Perfecting Prayer and Praise
Ministries C.O.G.I.C.(Co-Pastor/Co-Founder
Grace Spann), and sister/god-sister (Michele
Dixon) has been taught to look, listen, love
and live even through life altering
circumstances.
Dr. Spann truly loves
the Lord; cherishes his wife,
Reverend
De Anne T. Spann ,who is the heart of his
childhood dream; and, honors the gifts of
life and love God gave to him and his wife
in their blended family with children
Justin, Kristofer, Zakiya, Zackery, and
David “Kameron”,
IV. His loving blended family, also, include
sisters, Tammy Blackmon, Danyelle
Roseborough (Van Roseborough), and a host of
aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins,
God-sisters, God-brothers and Godchildren.
At the early age of 3,
Bishop began singing with family groups, as
well as church groups and choirs. At age 7,
he began directing groups and choirs on
local, state, regional, national, and
international levels. He was so small in
stature, but big in promise and potential.
His mother stood him on tables and chairs to
help support what he loved to do for the
Lord.
Nurtured within a
large family of Theologians, Educators,
Entrepreneurs, Creative Artists, and
Recording Artists; and, being raised in
C.O.G.I.C. for over 33 years has opened
doors and opportunities to serve in many
capacities within the Music, Education,
Evangelistic, Missions, Events, Media Arts,
as well as, Media Relations and Public
Relations departments of different churches,
organizations, institutions, and dioceses.
He has been blessed to serve as the Music
Director for the Catholic Archdiocese of
Baltimore, namely St. Gregory the Great and
St. Edward’s Roman Catholic Church for 13
years. He worked in Broadcasting for over 15
years serving as Producer, On-Air
Personality, Creative Arts/Events
Specialist, Writer, Editor, Master Control
Operator, Character Generator Operator, and
Audio/Visual Facilitator for radio, tv, and
newspaper. He has, also, been blessed to
internationally serve and assist the
Pentecostal Orthodox churches in Nassau,
Bahamas.
Throughout the years,
Dr. Spann has composed and produced many
musical works and literary pieces. He
continues to participate, minister, and
perform in plays, musicals, conventions,
symposiums, workshops, seminars, concerts,
and tours.
Bishop D Anthony Spann
is a true gentleman of today's time lending
his many God-given gifts and talents to earn
the most honored and bestowed entitlement
as, "The Messenger of Opportunity" and “The
Singing Bishop”. He aims to leave a legacy
of accomplished hope, strength, stability,
wisdom, right decision, and good character.
He is a Pastor, Preacher, Teacher, Psalmist,
Soloist, Director, Writer, Musician and
Composer who is evangelistic in method and
prophetic in message. He is an innovator,
motivator, author, actor, orator, poet, life
coach, entrepreneur, leader, and
businessman.
Dr. D'Anthony Spann is
a graduate from the Baltimore Polytechnic
Institute. He received a diploma and FCC
License from the Broadcasting Institute of
Maryland. He earned an Associate of Arts in
Mass Communications from Catonsville
Community College and an Associate of Arts
in Theology from C.H. Mason System of Bible
Colleges. Dr. Spann received numerous
certificates and awards, as well as
certification in Thanantology. He has
earned a Bachelor of Arts in Media Arts
Technology, Master of Arts in Social
Theological Arts, and Doctorates of
Communication Arts and Humanities with a
minor in Social Change Perspectives from
True Fellowship Institute, College and
Seminary in Baltimore. From this same
educational institution, he has received a
Ph.D. in Philosophical Studies with a minor
in Social Theological Counseling and
Dimensional Observationalism.
Though he worked in
ministry from a child, in 1990, he accepted
the call of God to Ministry. He served as a
Deacon under the leadership of his father in
the Gospel, God-Father, and, Mentor, Apostle
Dr. Cornelius B. Washington of Mason
Memorial C.O.G.I.C. Deacon Spann was
elevated and licensed as “Minister” in
January, 1992. In March of 2000, while a
member of True Faith Deliverance Ministries
under the Pastoral covering of Bishop Brenda
L. Waters-Spann, PhD, Minister Spann was
ordained an Elder by the late Apostle James
A. Parsons, Sr. of the Charismatic Churches
of God in Christ. Rev. Spann served as the
Associate Pastor of True Faith Deliverance
Ministries and the 1st
Administrative Assistant to the Bishop of
the Deliverance Ministries Alliance.
In 2002, God inspired
Rev. Spann to start an outreach ministry
named Divine Revelation Ministries which was
renamed in January, 2003, Wholistic Life
Ministries. In September, 2006, Pastor Spann
and his wife, "Lady D", were inspired to
re-organize, develop, establish, and
re-structure the ministry as
Wholistic Life Ministries Fellowship and
Association,
a ministry where people learn to be Holy,
Healthy, and Whole. This church and
fellowship organization promotes and
supports progressive and productive life,
healing, wholeness and balance with
innovative "Body, Mind and Soul" maintenance
programs through interactive education,
spiritual inspiration and purposed
motivation. The first services began in the
home of the Spanns in June, 2007. It later
moved to the Days Inn and Suites of Laurel,
MD. In September, 2007, Wholistic Life
sponsored their first Education Summit in
Centreville, VA – “Get Your Learning Don’t
Lose Your Burning” On November 8, 2007,
Pastor Spann was consecrated as Bishop.
He was, also, confirmed in January, 2010 by
Apostle Samuel H. Jones, Sr., Chief Apostle
of the United Assemblies in Christ.
While flowing in the
move of God, Bishop and Co-Pastor, Lady D
continued to follow by faith and re-located
to Manassas, VA. Starting over was not easy,
but God made it possible beginning in the
Ben Lomond Community Center. July 1, 2009,
we opened the doors and started services on
Sunday, July 5th at the current
location, 10564 Associates Ct., Manassas, VA
20109.To God Be The Glory!
